Lighting

In LUMUX projects, luminaires are grouped, not controlled by a single common button: overhead lighting separately, task lighting separately, decorative ceiling spots separately. Recessed and surface-mounted fixtures are selected in advance so that each group is controlled by its own scene.
Light layers instead of a single ceiling bulb
General lighting provides brightness for the entire room, task lighting illuminates the kitchen countertop or desk, and accent lighting highlights a painting or niche. The fixtures in each group can be turned on separately or together, and the brightness of each group is adjusted independently of the others.

- overhead lighting — overall room brightness on schedule or motion sensor
- functional lighting — kitchen, bathroom, office work areas
- accent lighting — niches, shelves, paintings, ceiling perimeter
Fixtures are integrated into the project without chasing walls and ceilings where the structure allows, and group control moves to the common app and scenarios — together with lamps and LED strips they form a single room lighting scenario. The full list of equipment that LUMUX integrates into projects is in the smart home devices section; and a ready-made evening light is described in the smart lighting section.

Frequently Asked Questions.
What do people ask before ordering
Sometimes yes, but more often light groups are assembled for specific recessed or surface-mounted fixtures that LUMUX selects in advance along with the project. During the consultation, the engineer examines the existing fixtures and decides what can be kept and what is more logical to replace so that the light groups work predictably.
Not always — fixtures are integrated into the project without chasing walls and ceilings where the house structure allows. If the structure requires a different solution, this is determined during the consultation and included in the project in advance, rather than emerging during installation.
Depends on the room's purpose: in some cases overhead light is enough, while in others functional task lighting for the work area and accent spots for niches or paintings are added. The number of LUMUX groups is determined together with you at the equipment selection stage, based on how the room is used throughout the day.
No, control of all groups goes to the general application and scenes, not to a set of scattered buttons or remotes. The main ceiling light, the work area, and accent lighting can be turned on individually or together with one press — LUMUX builds the specific logic tailored to the habits of a particular home.
